Infrastructure
From our earliest days as a radio network operator, Cognito's commitment to providing the highest levels of service has been underpinned by a policy of owning and controlling as much of the underlying technology as possible, including the server and communications infrastructure that our customers rely on.
Our aim has been to ensure that whatever happens, the performance and reliability of these business-critical services can be maintained without any dependency on third parties for problem identification or resolution.
Cognito's Service Delivery Platform is implemented across two geographically separate data centres in the south of England, at Heathrow and our office in Newbury, with fully redundant interconnectivity. A third site in London acts as a further point-of-presence offering greater flexibility for connectivity into customer networks and triangulation of the communications between the core sites if required.
Inherently resilient software services are implemented on virtualised platforms and hardware that is wholly owned and managed 24/7 by Cognito. Our Network Services team has direct control over all aspects of the system and is able to bridge the crucial gap between knowledge of the underlying platforms and understanding of the solutions and services that are running on them.
Twenty years of experience mobilising the service function has given us a deep understanding of what it takes to run mission critical systems. Our customers have come to rely on us for the ongoing management of their solution and can concentrate on running their business rather than having to divert resources towards costly investments in IT people, equipment and software.
