Workflow JSX Integrated Mobile Workflow
Cognito's powerful forms based workflow application, Workflow JSX, transfers existing paper based activities to the mobile device. Rules-based workflow gives capabilities beyond paper forms and can deliver relevant job information, prompt the user throughout the job or task, and transmit completed task data to the back office system, all in real-time.
Cognito Workflow JSX simply and effectively mobilises time-critical business processes, enabling organisations to increase efficiency, improve effectiveness, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction. The platform incorporates data-dependent dynamic workflows that can follow alternative predetermined paths triggered by the nature of the information provided.
Workflow JSX enables knowledge workers to participate in mobile workflow and their managers to authorise or approve issues that they have escalated. These workflow applications can co-exist with all the other personal and corporate productivity applications on the mobile device together with contextually relevant real-time information sources.
We’ve created a family of mobile application templates that incorporate industry best practice for a wide range of vertical markets and support regulatory requirements such as health and safety, and risk analysis compliance. Applications can be created or customised using Workflow JSX Studio Cognito'GUI-based rapid application development environment.
Using Workflow JSX, jobs can be updated in real-time or initiated from the mobile device - for example, an engineer who finds that the job cannot be completed in the initial call or uncovers new work that needs to be scheduled can book and schedule the necessary follow-up while in front of the customer.
Other common applications for Workflow JSX include vehicle checks, customer surveys and lone worker solutions - the latter taking advantage of the time-aware monitoring services that are built in to Cognito's core communications platform.
TaskWorker
Cognito TaskWorker establishes a secure, controlled mobile working environment. With a simple user interface that gives task workers access to the information they need. TaskWorker also prevents use of unauthorised functions or capabilities by restricting access to the operating system and non work-related applications and allows control of the community of users reachable by phone, email or SMS.
TaskWorker's simple user interface presents the worker with a straightforward set of options that relate to their role and responsibilities. This has been proven to achieve exceptionally high levels of user acceptance and adoption, and ensures organisations quickly achieve and maintain the maximum benefit from the application. Integrated messaging provides resilient and audited communication between mobile and office system users, eliminating the need for phone calls to receive instructions or report progress.
The real-time information provided through Cognito's Information Services enables management to exercise control over the mobile work environment by monitoring patterns of behaviour, identifying non-compliance with defined processes and the ability to take the necessary remedial action. It is, for example, easy to identify workers who consistently fail to embrace the required procedures.
FlexiWorker
Cognito FlexiWorker is a complementary product to TaskWorker which enables users of PDAs or laptop computers to benefit from the security, reliability and manageability of Cognito's Mobile Workforce Management solution - including forms and workflow created using Workflow JSX - but which runs as a client application alongside all the functions, applications and capabilities supported by the chosen mobile device.
